Grade 1 English focuses on strengthening students’ alphabetic competence through integrated skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary. The course incorporates all 26 English alphabets, common sight words, family names, numerals, and basic conversations that are used in every day greeting. Through diverse texts and contexts, students develop word formation, word pronunciation and confidence to set off their English learning.
