Biology

Grade 12 Biology offers students a deep understanding of life processes and the interconnectedness of organisms with their environment. This course builds on foundational biological concepts, emphasizing real-world applications in areas such as biotechnology, conservation, nutrition, disease control, and climate science. Students will explore the diversity and roles of microorganisms, the mechanisms of energy transformation in living organisms, the process of evolution, and the structure and regulation of the human body. In addition, the course fosters awareness of pressing global issues like climate change and food security and highlights the contributions of Ethiopian scientists to biological research. Through inquiry, analysis, and practical engagement, students will develop scientific skills and responsible attitudes for sustainable development and informed citizenship.
