Biology
This Grade 11 Biology course introduces students to foundational and applied biological concepts with an emphasis on their relevance to Ethiopian society and the natural environment. The course covers six major themes: the intersection of biology and technology; animal biology; enzymes and their applications; genetics and heredity; human body systems; and population dynamics with natural resource conservation. Students will explore real-world issues such as environmental impact, public health, ethical concerns in biotechnology, and indigenous practices in conservation and health. The course also highlights contributions by Ethiopian scientists and integrates traditional knowledge with modern science to build scientific literacy and responsible citizenship.
