Multimedia and Graphics Design
Course Overview:
This course offers an extensive exploration into the world of multimedia design, combining creativity with technical proficiency to produce engaging digital content. Students will learn to create, edit, and manipulate various forms of media including graphics, audio, and video using a range of industry-standard tools and software including AI tools. The course focuses on the principles of design, multimedia production workflows, and the integration of different media types into cohesive projects. Emphasis is placed on hands-on projects that reflect real-world scenarios.
Course Objectives:
§ Apply the principles of graphic design, including color theory, typography, and composition, to create effective visuals for multimedia projects using software (like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Affinity Designer, etc.).
§ Learn the basics of sound theory, audio recording techniques (using software like Audacity, Adobe Audition, etc.) and audio editing for multimedia applications.
§ Develop skills in video shooting, editing (using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.), and post-production techniques for multimedia projects.
§ Grasp the fundamentals of animation and motion graphics, and create animations and motion graphics using industry-standard software.
§ Integrate graphics, audio, and video into cohesive multimedia projects, considering current design trends, accessibility, and best practices for effective communication.
